In a perfect world Cody Jinks would have gotten his due by now. Sure he’s had his share of accolades but he’s not yet a household name in country music. And here’s what’s crazy about that. To date, he’s sold more than two million tickets to his concerts, has released ten full length albums, has amassed 3.5 billion streams across digital platforms and has had eight songs certified Platinum or Gold. His biggest hit “Loud and Heavy” went double platinum and he’s twice been named Music Row magazine’s Independent Artist of the Year, including this past year.

Perhaps 2024 will be the year Jinks gets his due.

The Texas-bred country singer released the video for “Outlaws + Mustangs” on CMT.com today, the latest single from his new album Change the Game, due out March 22. Directed by Erica Alexandria Silverman, the video for “Outlaws + Mustangs” is deeply personal to Jinks as it also features his father (Steve Jinks) and daughter (Meredith Jinks).

Produced by Ryan Hewitt (Red Hot Chili Peppers, ZZ Top) and Jinks’ longtime bassist, Joshua Thompson, Change the Game is Jinks’ fourth release on his own label (Late August Records) and is released in partnership with The Orchard. The record also includes a new version of Faith No More’s “Take This Bottle,” featuring special guest Pearl Aday.

Jinks hits the road March 7 in Tacoma, WA and wraps up touring Oct. 12 in Minneapolis, MN. His spring-summer-fall tourdates see him sharing the stages with the likes of: Turnpike Troubadours, Trampled by Turtles, Blackberry Smoke, Doc Oliver, Luke Combs, The Steel Woods, Erin Viancourt, Ward Davis, Calder Allen and the Cadillac 3.
