Minnesota singer-songwriter Charlie Parr has debuted his new single “Portland Avenue” today. Ostensibly a song about the art of neighboring “Portland Avenue” is the second single from his new album Little Sun, due out March 22 on Smithsonian Folkways. Little Sun was produced by Tucker Martine (Sufjan Steven, The Decemberists, My Morning Jacket) in Portland, OR. Little Sun is Parr’s eighteenth album and features guitar goddess Marisa Anderson as well as backgorund vocals from Anna Tivel. Parr hits the road March 1 in Green Bay, WI and wraps up July 19 in Oak Hill, NY. His tour dates can be seen below:
