One never knows what’s going on behind the scenes of bands on hiatus but sometimes social media can be a clue. Or is it? Cincinnati-based alt-rock quartet July for Kings has not made a new album since 2015’s Middletown. Additionally, frontman Joe Hedges has also not released any new solo material since 2018. But lately the July for Kings Instagram account has been abuzz with a flurry of activity. Does this mean the band is at work on new material? Is a reunion show in the works?
