Country crooner David Nail has announced a new single, due out March 13. “If I Could Call” is now available for pre-save. According to Nail: “I haven’t found words to describe how proud I am of this song. It came to me one night without warning and took me over three months to finish. My grandaddy was my hero. And having a son, who I could name after him, was something I dreamed of my entire adult life. This is a tribute to him as a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a wonderful man.”
Nail has also hinted that more new material is expected in 2024. The ACM and Grammy-nominated artist has not released a full-length album since the fantastic 2016 release Fighter, his last with MCA Nashville. Since pursuing a path as an indepent artist he has released the 2018 EP Only This and Nothing More with his band The Well Ravens and the 2021 EP Bootheel 2021 as a solo project. Whether this next release will be billed as a Well Ravens album or a David Nail solo album remains to be seen, but it is definitely a release on the Goyo Como Va radar before year’s end.
