New England genre-bending collective Lake Street Dive is about to make 2024 a year they’ll never forget. The band’s new album Good Together is due out June 21 and will be their first with Fantasy Records. Additionally, the title track and music video was released today. The band is also scheduled to embark on their largest tour yet including a headlining show at NYC’s Madison Square Garden on Sept. 14.

In releasing the new album drummer Mike Calabrese said the following: “There’s a lot to be angry about in the world right now, a lot of pain and rage and divisiveness, but it isn’t sustainable to constantly live in that anger—you need something else to keep you going,. Joy is a great way to sustain yourself, and we wanted to encourage everyone to stay aware of that. In a way this album is our way of saying, ‘Take your joy very seriously.’”

Good Together sees the quintet once again working with GRAMMY-winning producer Mike Elizondo (Brothers Osborne, Lauren Daigle, Joy Oladokun, Nickel Creek). Elizondo was also at the helm for the band’s critically revered 2021 release Obviously. Since the release of their breakthrough album Bad Self Portraits in 2014, Lake Street Dive has won over new audiences with their captivating take on jazz-infused, soul-folk-pop. That trend is certain to continue in 2024 and beyond.
