If there’s any justice in the music world the New England bluegrass quintet Barnstar! will get a GRAMMY nod before they call it quits. Never heard of Barnstar!? Holy wow, you are missing out.

Comprised of vocalist-guitarist Mark Erelli (a perennial favorite), upright bassist/vocalist Zachariah Hickman (Josh Ritter’s band), banjo player/vocalist Charlie Rose, mandolinist/vocalist Taylor Armerding and fiddle player/vocalsit Jake Armerding, the dynamic quintet has released two albums to date and both have been a rip-roaring good time. Their latest album Furious Kindness comes out April 19, nearly a decade after their last release and all signs point to it being another memorable listen.

Perhaps most fortunately for those in New England Barnstar! is gearing up to tour again for the first time in eight years. The tour kicks off in April. The dates can be seen below:
