GRAMMY Award winning singer-songwriter and all-around kick-ass human Brandi Carlile performed her new song “That’s Why We Love Nature” on today’s episode of acclaimed TV series Sesame Street. Carlile was joined alongside classic characters Big Bird and Snuffleupugus. When she’s not winning GRAMMY Awards for her own original material Carlile is making a name for herself as a producer.

One of her recent GRAMMY Awards was for her production work on Joni Mitchell’s At Newport. She’s also the producer of Brandy Clark’s self titled album, Tanya Tucker’s Sweet Western Sound and Tish Melton’s new EP When We’re Older. Her version of the Indigo Girls’ “Closer to Fine” which she recorded with her wife Catherine was included on Barbie The Album (Best Weekend Ever Edition), a companion soundtrack album to the blockbuster Barbie film.

The 11x GRAMMY Award winning singer/songwriter, producer and activist is also a New York Times best-selling author known for her powerhouse live sets and her songwriting prowess. To date she has released seven albums, her most recent being 2021’s In These Silent Days, which won her three GRAMMY Awards.
