Arguably one of my favorite artists over the last two decades has been Augustana, the now solo project for singer-songwriter Dan Layus. Since his near-perfect 2006 debut All the Stars and Boulevards to 2022’s Everyday an Eternity: Solo Piano Works, Layus has done little wrong. Even his foray into releasing under his own name was pretty darn terrific.
Later this month (March 22 to be exact) he’ll release Something Beautiful, his seventh album. The long awaited LP will once again feature Layus’ penchant for narrative storytelling, indelible melodies and thought-provoking lyrics. The title track debuted as a single last year and if the album is anything similar it should be one worth repeated listens.
Augustana is partnering once again with vinyl collective Diggers Factory for a limited edition vinyl of the record.
The track listing can be seen below:
SIDE A
- Stand On My Own
- Count On Each Other
- Father Down The Line
- Carry The World
- If I Fail Now
SIDE B

Limited edition vinyl pre-orders are available now.
