Colorado-born, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Jobi Riccio has announced her tour dates for this month through July. Most immediate is a stop at SXSW this week, Luck Reunion (also this week) and then on to Santa Fe and beyond. Venue highlights include a stop at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Gramercy Theater in New York City and Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY. She’ll also open for the likes of The Wood Brothers, Jason Isbell and Brandy Clark.
Riccio is touring behind her auspicious and magnetic debut album Whiplash, which was released last September on Yep Roc Records. Inspired by artists ranging from George Jones and Patsy Cline to Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan, she writes songs that honor classic country sounds while adding modern touches. She is an alumnus of Berklee College of Music, winner of the 2019 NewSongMusic Competition and a 2018 finalist in the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Songwriter Showcase.
