Nashville-based singer-songwriter Abbey Cone has announced she has signed to Downtown Arist + Label Services for disribution. Her first release under the new label is a cover of Leonard Cohen’s ubiquitious “Hallelujah.” The cover was recorded live at the Ryman Auditorium. Cone is managed by Amanda Quinton of Quinton Digital, her booking is done by Wasserman Group and Warner Chappel Music/T.R.U.T.H for publishing.

Asked why she chose “Hallelujah” Cone said the following: “My first year as an independent artist was surprising in so many ways. One of the biggest surprises was being asked to open up for LeAnn Rimes at The Ryman in December. I’ve always loved this song because of how powerful it is, and how much it moves people. It’s representative of the kind of music I want to create and the way I want to move people with my music, too.”

Now an independent artist, Cone has penned songs with the likes of Brittney Spencer, Kassi Ashton, Abby Anderson and Maddie + Tae. She was featured in CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2020 and one of Pandora’s 10 Country Artists to Watch in 2022. Last year she released the single “If You Were a Song” her first released as an independent artist, which to date has amassed more than 15 million streams.
