Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter James Maddock has announced a string of April dates beginning this Friday in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania. Maddock is touring in support of his recently released Live in Italy album.
Said album was recorded live in Pavia, Italy with Brian Mitchell and Italian drummer Max Malavasi. Maddock has a devoted fan base in Italy and has promised that the album is “definitely different from anything I’ve put out before and gives a real sense of what Brian and I do in between eating in Italy.” Maddock has also teased more news to share later this month.
Maddock is the former lead singer of late 90s Brit-folk outfit Wood whose near perfect album Songs From Stamford Hill never got the attention it deserved. He has been based in New York City since 2003 and has released nine studio albums, four live albums and an EP. Maddock’s long list of admirers include the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nile, Mike Scott of The Waterboys, Aaron Comess of The Spin Doctors and David Immergluck of the Counting Crows.
