Tennessee-by-way-of-Texas outfit Flatland Cavalry has been nominated for Group of the Year at the 59th annual ACM Awards, marking the band’s first ACM nomination of their career. The marquee country music awards show will be broadcast live on Amazon Prime Video on May 16 at 8 p.m. EST.
The quintet is riding high on a mammoth start to 2024. Last fall their album Wandering Star (Interscope Records) was released to widespread acclaim. Outlets included but not limited to Rolling Stone, Billboard, No Depression and American Songwriter raved about the 13 song collection and calling it the band’s finest to date.
Additionally their song “A Life Where We Work Out” was certified RIAA Gold. Since their 2015 debut the band has released two EPs and three full-length studio albums. The band has garnered nearly 300 million streams to date across all digital streaming platforms and have had their songs featured in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and the critically acclaimed TV series Yellowstone. In their eight years as a band they’ve played an ample amount of sold out shows and shared the stages with the likes of Willie Nelson, Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson, Jordan Davis, Midland and others.
