GRAMMY Award winning guitarist Peter Frampton has been inducted into the Rock + Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024. Frampton’s nomination also marked his first appearance on the ballot. Frampton is no stranger to the Rock + Roll Hall of Fame. He appeared at last year’s induction ceremony alongside Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks.

Of being named to the Rock Hall’s next class, Frampton said the following: “This is something I never expected. I am overwhelmed that I will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, especially alongside so many incredible artists who have gone before me. I can’t thank everyone enough for voting for me. You are the best. Somebody, pinch me please.”

Frampton recently wrapped up his Never Ever Say Never Tour marking his 60th year of touring. The tour was a welcome surprise to fans after Frampton announced a farwell tour five years ago following a diagnosis of degenerative disease inclusion body myositis. In spite of that health setback Frampton has stayed busy.

He recently appeared on Dolly Parton’s new album Rockstar, which was released last fall. His 2021 album Frampton Forgets the Words was released to widespread critical acclaim. He was inducted into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame in 2020 and his autobiogrpahy Do You Feel Like I Do? debuted on the New York Times best-sellers list. Perhaps most importantly Frampton’s celebrated album Frampton Comes Alive! remains one of the top-selling live records of all time, having sold more than 17 million worldwide.

Frampton will be inducted alongside Dave Matthews Band (woohoo!), Cher (finally), Foreigner (woohoo), Mary J. Blige (well deserved), Koool + the Gang (well deserved), Ozzy Osbourne (well deserved) and A Tribe Called Quest (well deserved).
