Portland, OR’s chamber-folk outfit Blind Pilot have resurfaced after a multi-year hiatus. The band announced a series of summer tour dates and the releaes of their new album, due out later this year. The as yet untitled new album is the band’s first since 2016’s And Then Like Lions, which was releasd on ATO Records.
Blind Pilot emerged onto the indie scene in 2008 with their near-flawless debut 3 Rounds and a Sound and the equally stirring follow up We Are The Tide. Those albums found them playing festivals like Lollapalooza, Sasquatch and Outside Lands. They even appeared on Last Night With Carson Daly and the David Letterman Show. On the concert front, they opened for the likes of Dave Matthews Band, Vance Joy and Gregory Alan Isakov, among others.
