Jacksonville, FL’s JJ Grey + Mofro host their first ever Blackwater Sol Revue this weekend at the St. Augustine Amphitheater. This two-day event features performances from JJ Grey + Mofro, Lucero, American Aquarium, The Allman Betts Band, G. Love and Special Sauce, Satsang, Anders Osborne, Kendall Street Company and Smokestack. The event is billed as more than a concert but rather a celebration of community and the wild spirit of the Sunshine State.

Formed in the late 90s, JJ Grey + Mofro combine Southern rock with blues, funk, soul, R+B and pop. To date they’ve released 11 albums and have amassed a passionate fan base without any major label backing in their 25+ year career. The band has gone through extensive lineup changes since their inception but have always landed on their feet. To date they’ve played Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits and other major summer music festivals. In their early years the band cut its teeth in the jam band scene touring with the likes of Widespread Panic, Galactic and Ben Harper, to name a few.
