Nineties country music chart-topper JoDee Messina has announced a string of hometown shows in her native New England beginning this weekend. Messina is touring in suppport of her new single “Just To Be Loved,” which is a throwback to her 90s radio domination and another winning cut from an artist with an arsenal of winning cuts.

Prior to the release of “Just To Be Loved” Messina received a major boost when Cole Swindell released his chart-topping tribute to her in 2023 with “She Had Me at Heads Carolina.” That resurgence was most timely as Messina has not released new material since her 2018 single “Reckless Love.” Her absence from music was not something she anticipated but a cancer diagnosis in 2017 forced her hand. She resumed touring in 2022. Messina’s last studio album was 204’s Me.

The New England shows are not her only tour stops this year. She’s got a full summer of shows lined up and those dates can be found here.
