Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Jason Isbell and his band The 400 Unit has announced an October residency at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium. The residency will include a total of eight shows with different support acts (all female singer-songwriters) each night. This writer is exceptionally stoked for the dates with Garrison Starr, Mary Gauthier, Matraca Berg and Kim Richey. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 11 a.m. EST.

Ever the road warrior Isbell is currently on tour this summer and tours all the way through Thanksgiving, with a European tour starting in November.

Isbell is currently touring in support of his ninth studio album Weathervanes, released last year. A former member of southern rockers Drive By Truckers, Isbell went out on his own in 2007 with the album Sirens in the Ditch. He rose to prominence in 2013 with his mesmerzing album Southeastern, a critical darling. Every release since Southeastern has also been universally praised. As of this writing he remains Americana music’s golden boy.
