Indiana-based singer-songwriter Jon McLaughlin has launched a summer music series called Summer Covers. McLaughlin plans to add one new cover song every week throughout the summer, with the end result being an album of cover songs titled Summer Covers. Last week he released Bonnie Raitt’s iconic “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and this week he is releasing SZA’s “Saturn.” The songs can be heard via your preferred digital streaming platform.

In addition to the Summer Covers project, McLaughlin also plans to hit the road for a select few dates beginning tonight in Cincinnati, OH. He has a one-off tour date in Hawaii in August and then a nine city fall tour in
the Northeast.

McLaughlin last dropped a studio album in 2021 with his self-released All The Things I Say To Myself, his eleventh to date. He has also released eight EPs to date, with his last being 2020’s Christmas Time EP.

Known for his soulful vocals, deft piano playing and engaging melodies, McLaughlin first gained national attention with his 2007 major label debut Indiana released via Island Def Jam. He released one more album with Island Def Jam before self-releasing 2011’s Forever If Ever. He had a three album stint with Razor + Tie from 2012 – 2015 before releasing albums on his own for the third time in his career. He remains unsigned and seems to prefer it that way. A dynamic live performer and one of the nicest guys in the music business, McLaughlin is well worth your time and attention.
