Knoxville, TN faith-based singer-songwriter Adam Whipple has released a teaser video for his new album Five Hills. The project is inspired by the mountains of Tennessee and a fundraising effort will launch on Kickstarer in mid-September. Based on the album teaser the piano-heavy effort will lean towards something more orchestral and gosh dang that’s wicked exciting. Five Hills marks Whipple’s second full-length release and fourth overall. His most recent effort is 2021’s Basement Apartment EP.
Whipple continues to be busy with his acoustic duo Birch + Brine while providing support for an array of local artists. Most impressively though he is currently working on providing a musical score for River + Rail Theatre‘s upcoming production of Thornton Wilder’s inimitable play Our Town. Musical score for Our Town, you say? Yep, leave it to Whipple and his friends to try something that audacious.
In the meantime, give yourself a half hour (or more) and dive into the discography of Whipple.
