Singer-songwriter David Nail has released new single “Why” to all digital streaming platforms effective today. About the song Nail writes the following:
“I wrote this song 20 years ago when I first moved to Nashville. Every few years, I would think about recording it, and 20 years later, I finally have. This was the first song that made me think “Maybe, I can really do this…” Sometimes you have to go back to move forward. Thanks to Aubrie Sellers for joining me in the studio to make this one so special.”
“Why” is the second digital single released by Nail in 2024. Earlier this year he dropped “If I Could Call.” His last release was 2023’s Best of Me EP and his last full-length studio effort was 2018’s Only This and Nothing More. Here’s hoping a full-length is on the horizon. Since his 2009 major label debut I’m About to Come Alive, Nail has been one of this writer’s favorite country singers and his discography continues to push that narrative forward. In short, he’s made few if any missteps.
In addition to the release of “Why” Nail has also announced a slew of new tour dates. Nail’s tour begins on Aug. 27 at the Grand Ole Opry and concludes Oct. 25 in West Wendover, NV.
