New England jam-rock outfit Dispatch have announced a beer collaboration with Hot Plate Brewing Co. for their Aug. 31 concert at Tanglewood featuring the Boston Pops. The beer, Promise Land Pale Ale, will debut at the event where it will be available on tap and in four-packs to go. According to the band, all of the hops for Promise Land Pale Ale come from Four Star Farms, the only commercial hop farm in the Bay State.
A portion of sales from Promise Land Pale Ale will benefit nonprofits Calling All Crows and Love, Light + Melody. The band has also noted that the town of Pittsfield, MA has shut down the street to make the Aug. 31 concert a full-on block party. In addition to the band’s brand new IPA, food will be available via Charlie’s Bistro Bus and Otto’s Kitchen + Comfort. The Tanglewood concert will feature an opening set Kaia Kater.
The band has also announced that Dispatch bandmember Brad Corrigan’s documentary film Ileana’s Smile will make its worlwide debut this December.
After a September break, the band’s fall Amplifying Democracy tour kicks off in October with featured opener Lizie No. The tour begins Oct. 8 in Green Bay, WI and concludes Oct. 21 in Washington, D.C.
