Indiana-based singer-songwriter Jon McLaughlin has announced a co-headlining tour with Nashville-based singer-songwriter Eric Hutchinson in January 2025. Tickets are on sale now. In relating why he chose Hutchinson for a co-tour McLaughlin spins the following yarn:

“In the year 2000-something I found myself alone in New York City with a night off. I was sitting in my hotel room trying to decide what to do with my free evening when I perused the local concert listings to see what shows were happening that night. I saw that a certain gentleman was playing at the Highline Ballroom. So I bought a ticket and walked the 47 blocks to the venue (in full transparency part of that last statement may may contain some exaggeration). I stood in the back and thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic show. That gentleman…the artist I saw that night…..was none other…..than….Eric Hutchinson. That’s right.
And I’ve been asking him ever since to do a co-headline bill and he finally said YES!”

Having seen Hutchinson live before this writer can attest he is well worth the price of admission. And as I’ve written on this blog previously Jon McLaughlin is a perennial favorite. This is going to be a fantastic evening of first-rate live music. Mr. and Mrs. Goyo are hoping to make it to the Orlando date.

Here’s hoping they extend the tour beyond January so the rest of the country can enjoy two of the finest singer-songwriters in the country.
