Long Island newspaper Newsday (my former employer) through its multimedia platform Newsday Live hosts the event Long Island Idols next Wed. Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at Newsday Studios in Melville. The event promises a unique evening of music and conversation with Long Island-based singers who grabbed the national spotlight on a variety of TV singing competitions.
