Indie folk heavyweights Dawes have announced fall tour dates. A handful of the dates feature just the Dawes duo (Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith) while others feature a full band. The duo shows feature support from Sam Weber, while the full band shows feature support from Turnpike Troubadours. The band is currently in the midst of sporadic summer touring and has some upcoming dates with The Avett Brothers. The band has also been nominated as duo / group of the year for the Americana Music Honors + Awards.
Dawes is touring in support of their 2024 release Oh Brother!, the band’s ninth album and first as a duo. According to frontman Taylor Goldsmith,
a new Dawes record is in the works but a release date has not yet been announced. Regardless of when it gets released, it will be a must listen. Every Dawes album to date has been a must listen. Even when they don’t fire on all cylinders they still write music way above their peers and contemporaries. They also remain a first-rate live band.
