Nineties power-pop phenom Matthew Sweet has announced a month-long concert run beginning Thursday in Madison, WI and ending on the 28th in his adopted hometown of Atlanta, GA. The Atlanta date is billed as Revival: Celebrating Georgia’s Historic Theatres and features the likes of Indigo Girls, Charlie Starr and Benji Shanks (of Blackberry Smoke), Sweet and Shawn Mullins. The event is hosted by Kevn Kinney.

For the monthlong run, Sweet is backed by Debbi Peterson (The Bangles) on drums, Paul Chastain on bass, Adrian Carter on acoustic 6 & 12-string guitars and John Moremen on lead guitar.

In the press release for the tour Sweet has promised: “Expect an evening of searing lead guitar, three-part harmonies, #1 hits, fan-favorites, and deep cuts spanning Matthew’s extensive catalog.” The month long run includes an opening set from Abe Partridge.
