Asheville, NC raised singer-songwriter Chase Rice has announced his new album Go Down Singin‘ will be available Sept. 20. The album marks his first independent release in more than a decade. Regarding the album Rice said the following: ““All we thought about when making this music was how do we put the very best songs that l’ve got on one album. No thoughts of what’s popular right now, or what will work blow up or go viral, simply who am I and what am I best at. It’s got songs about the music industry and what it can do to your soul, it’s got love lost songs, it’s got a song about my dad once again, it’s even got a murder song that might be my favorite song on the album.”
The album features co-writes with Oscar Charles, Lori McKenna, Jackson Dean and Rob Baird among others. Rice is currently on tour with Dierks Bentley and to date has sold more than 2.4 million albums and has amassed more than 2.4 billion total streams. His most recent album was the critically acclaimed I Hate Cowboys + All Dogs Go To Hell.
Rice’s arsenal of songs includes the Platinum-certified “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen”, the Platinum-certified “Lonely If You Are”, triple Platium “Eyes On You”, Platinum-certified “Gonna Want Tonight” and double Platinum “Ready Set Roll.” To date he has shared stages/bills with the likes of Kane Brown, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Jelly Roll, Old Dominion and Garth Brooks.
