Country music living legend Vince Gill will embark on a three month summer tour beginning June 18 at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando, FL. The tour also finds Gill playing in cities including but not limited to: Syracuse, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Roanoke, Kansas City and Shreveport. The tour concludes with two nights at Memphis’ Orpheum Theatre on Aug. 30.
The rest of the dates can be found at the bottom of this post.
Gill will be touring behind his latest EP For the End of the Night, the sixth release in his 50 Years From Home year long EP series. Instruments featured on the cover of each EP are from Gill’s personal collection. For End Of The Night, he chose the 1967 Gibson ES-335 his parents bought him as a Christmas present when he was ten years old, and which he continues to play. Sonically, End Of The Night draws from more of the pop and rock side of Gill’s pallette. The melodies are memorable and the instrumentalation as always is slick and polished.
Known as one of the most ubiquitous artists in modern country music Gill is famous for his world-class songwriting, top-tier guitar playing and that whiskey-drenched tenor. His breakthrough hit is the aching 1990 ballad “When I Call Your Name” which won two CMA Awards and a Grammy Award. In his 50 year career he has amassed 18 CMA Awards, 22 Grammy Awards and 8 ACM Awards. He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 1991 and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007.
To date he has released 21 albums, sold more than 30 million albums and charted nearly 50 singles. He’s also been a member of Pure Prairie League, The Notorious Cherry Bombs and The Time Jumpers. In 2017 he was asked to join The Eagles on tour and continues to be a part of that band’s touring efforts. In celebration of 50 years in music, Gill signed a lifetime contract with his record label MCA and plans to continue releasing EPs throughout the duration of 2026.
