Idaho’s beloved son Josh Ritter has added more dates to his solo fall A Book Of Gold Thrown Open Tour. Additionally, for his newly announced Stoughton, WI show, he’ll have the venerable Kathleen Edwards opening the show. If you live in or near Stoughton, highly suggest you participate in that evening of music.

Ritter’s brief and slightly scant tour begins Aug. 3 in Portsmouth, NH and concludes Oct. 29 in Keene, NH. Tickets for his dates through Sept. 28 are on sale now, the added dates, which begins Oct. 9 in Stoughton go on sale June 22 at 9 a.m. local time.

Ritter is touring behind his fall 2025 release I Believe In You, My Honeydew. After the hushed intimacy of 2024’s Heaven, or Someplace as Nice, it is a rollicking, full-bodied effort and one of his very best. Nearly 30 years into his music career he remains an artist who has released few, if any, duds. Be it studio album, live album or EP, he’s as consistent and engaging as they come.
